Windows Management Console Installation
In this Topic
Background
The Management Console enables users to remotely manage, audit and receive real-time desktop notifications from a collection of Management Servers.
System Requirements
The Windows Agent requires the .Microsoft .NET 8 Desktop Runtime to be installed, however, the air gapped installer embeds the .NET 8 Desktop Runtime within the installation bootstrapper, so there is no need to pre-install the .NET 8 Desktop Runtime.
How to Install the Windows Management Console
The Management Console is automatically installed with the Full Server Manager Installer, however, if you want to remotely manage, audit or receive real-time desktop notifications, you have the option to install the Management Console on any Windows host then remotely connect to the Management Server.
- From your Internet browser, log into Corner Bowl Software.
- Once logged in, from the Menu Bar, select Downloads.
- From the Downloads Page, locate the Management Console Installer then click the Download button.
- Once downloaded, run the installer.
How to Update the Windows Management Console
The Management Console automatically checks for new updates each time it is executed. Once detected, the installer automatically updates the Management Console.
If the workstation is firewalled or air gapped:
- Log into Corner Bowl Software.
- Download the latest version.
- Finally, run the installer.
