The File Exists Errors
The File Exists error is typically thrown when running Event Log Backups and Windows Sharing is either not enabled on the target host or a firewall is blocking Windows Sharing between the two hosts.
Verify the error:
- Open a command-prompt.
- Type::\\SERVERNAME\c$
- If you are unable to view the administrator share, verify Windows Sharing is enabled on the target machine and verify a firewall is not blocking Windows Sharing.
