Assign Actions
The Actions tab, found in the Template, Report and Constant Delivery Pipeline property views, contains action assignment and duplicate trigger properties.
There are six different states which can trigger actions.
- The Select Action drop-down includes a drop-down button and a plus button.
- Use the drop-down button to select an already existing action.
- Use the plus button to create a new action from scratch.
- Use the Suppress duplicate triggers option to suppress duplicate actions from being re-run after a monitor is triggered or errors (e.g. If running a monitor every hour that triggers each time, you will only receive the first alert. Subsequent alerts will only be sent after the triggered state is cleared).
- Use the Clear trigger state after option to automatically clear a triggered state enabling monitors to re-run actions at the defined frequency (e.g. If this value is set to clear after one day, you will only receive an alert once a day regardless of how many times a monitor runs). Once automatically cleared, the assigned actions will run the next time the monitor triggers.
- Use the Only fire error actions... option to suppress error actions when other templates assigned to the target host have errored. This option enables you to receive a single notification when a server goes down rather than a notification for each assigned template as they error.
- Use the Hide informational data table rows option to exclude information data table rows.
Important
This option is not applied to log monitor templates.
